The Azienda Agricola San Pietro a Pettine is in Trevi, in Umbria, situated on the Appennine ridge that looks on the valley between Assisi and Spoleto. The company is a compound that creates a unique example of production in the truffle market. It is indeed composed of an estate with over 500 hectares of protected and reserved truffle grounds situated within the area of Trevi. These grounds guarantee an excellent quality of the black winter truffles as well as of the white ones in the several seasons and altitudes. The harvest is made by an équipe of expert truffle hunters along with their trained dogs and is then carefully selected by hand. The very first choice is addressed to international customers (Dubai, London, Paris) among which we have 2 and 3 Michelin-starred restaurants. While, the other part of the harvest is brought to our artisanal workshop for the production of high quality truffle specialities. It is active since 1948 carried out by 3 generations, therefore a passion handed down over 60 years. It represents one of the oldest European workshops (first European company that has preserved truffles in glass jar) and succeeds in joining together a great tradition to a production structure that, altough it is artesanal, is able to satisfy each type of international quality level. In fact, the company has obtained the FDA authorization and recently it has obtained the maximum level of quality certifications: ISO 22:000 2005, BRC and IFS. All these definitely represent the very best healthy guarantee in the production system.
